This is a free "light-weight" version of SQL Server 2005. Also included in the install is MSDN Express Library. The MSDN Express Library contains additional product documentation for Visual Studio Express and is recommended if you arent familiar with Visual Studios.

Once you've decided what you need, download the latest Visual Web Developer. Make sure you meet the system requirements listed on the page and then continue with the installation after downloading.

The setup will download the rest of the install from the Internet so make sure you are still connected when you run the setup file. The setup will also ask you to install any optional software (such as SQL Server Express or MSDN Express Library) whether or not you install these depend on your own personal requirements.
