FlashArea is a good choice if you need WYSIWYG capabilities for a Flash-based website, or if you just want to ensure that your WYSIWYG textareas look consistent across all browser platforms, or if you just like the "Aqua" or "XP" look to FlashArea.

FlashArea Feature Gallery

Choose from 3 built-in skins: XP, Aqua, and Standard. The options XML file, loaded at run-time, determines the look that should be used for the FlashArea instance.

Programmable symbol panel. Easily specify the range of symbol values that should be present in the "Insert Symbol" popup window.

Advanced image inserter. Specify JPGs using internal or remote paths, and attributes like URL, Target, and Alignment.

Easily instantiate an instance of FlashArea by adding a small bit of Javascript to the document footer.

Toggle between WYSIWYG and HTML views.

External language file for simple translation. The language strings are the tooltip phrases, and labels within popup windows of FlashArea.

Specify several display properties using the external configuration file, like background color, border color, edge radius, and indentation.

FlashArea is capable of loading external properties from a CSS file. You may also specify the list of available font sizes as comma-separated values, the button separation width ("div" width), and many other properties.

 

What's Cooking?
